Tallmadge Earns First Career OAC Women's Soccer Player-of-the-Week Honor

BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin Wallace University freshman goalkeeper Emily Tallmadge (Fairview, Pa.) posted shutouts against second place Capital University (1-0 win) and fourth place John Carroll University (0-0 double overtime tie) and did not allow a goal and had eight saves in 200 minutes of action. For her efforts, Tallmadge earns her first career Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player-of-the-Week honor.

Tallmadge faced nine JCU shots, including five on-goal, did not allow a goal and made five saves in 110 minutes of action. Her shutout versus Capital forced a second place tie with the Crusaders. She faced six shots, including three on-goal, did not allow a goal and made three saves.

This season, Tallmadge, a chemistry and neuroscience major, has made a huge difference on the ninth-ranked team in the Great Lakes Region (10-3-4 overall). She has started all 17 matches, is allowing just 0.62 goals per match, has eight individual shutouts, nine overall and 67 saves.

This week, Tallmadge will lead the Yellow Jackets into matches at the University of Mount Union on Tuesday, Oct. 24 at 7:00 p.m. in Alliance and on Saturday, Oct. 27 at Marietta College in the first match of a women's and men's doubleheader. The women kickoff at 1:00 p.m. and the men play at 3:30 p.m.
