Three Baldwin-Wallace College Women's Soccer Players Named All-OAC

BEREA, OHIO -- Three Baldwin-Wallace College women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2010 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team.

Freshman midfielder Heather Keller (Parma/ Senior) and freshman defender Elizabeth Helser (Fort Wayne Ind./ Canterbury) were both named second-team All-OAC and junior midfielder Lindsey Cooper (Westerville/New Albany) was named to the honorable mention squad.

Keller had the second most goals this season with seven and added two assists to tie fellow freshman forward Bucky Gammiere (Mentor/ Lake Catholic) for the team lead in scoring with 16 points. She was second on the team in shots taken with 41 and tied for third in shots on-goal with 19.

Helser was a key defender for a Yellow Jacket team that recorded three shutouts and allowed 1.74 goals per game. She also took five shots, including three shots on goal.

Cooper, who transferred to B-W from NCAA Division I High Point (N.C.) University, scored four goals and added a team-high five assists to rank fourth in scoring with 13 points. Her 33 shot attempts ranked third and her 17 shots on-goal ranked fifth.

In 2010, the Yellow Jacket women compiled a 7-10-4 overall record and advanced to the first round of the OAC Tournament with an extremely young team.  In 2011, B-W returns its top seven scorers who combined to account for 33 of the team's 38 goals and 15 of 21 assists.
