Women's Soccer Team Falls, 1-0, at OAC Rival Marietta

BEREA, OHIO - The Baldwin-Wallace College women's soccer team fell short by a score of 1-0 at Ohio Athletic Conference rival Marietta College this afternoon (Saturday, October 24, 2009) in Marietta.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 6-10-2 overall and 2-5 in the OAC. Marietta imporves to 5-9-1 and 2-5 in the OAC.

The Pioneers scored the only goal of the game when Tessa Harlow scored at the 57:10 mark off a crossover assist from Jennifer Wilder inside of B-W's goal box.

Overall, the Yellow Jackets outshot the Pioneers 11-8 and outcornered them 3-1.

In net, B-W sophomore goalie Meagan McLaughlin (Warren/ Cardinal Mooney) faced five shots on goal and recorded three saves.

B-W is back in action on Tuesday, October 27 when they host OAC and Cleveland cross-town rival John Carroll University at 7:00 p.m. on Tressel Field.
