Women's Soccer Team Falls, 2-0, at OAC Rival Capital

BEREA, OHIO - The Baldwin Wallace College women's soccer team lost by a score of 2-0 at Ohio Athletic Conference rival Capital University this afternoon (Wednesday, October 21, 2009) in Columbus.

With the loss, the Yellow Jackets fall to 6-9-2 overall and 2-4 in the OAC. Capital improves to 10-5-2 and 4-2 in the OAC.

The Crusaders got on the board late in the first half when Katie Robinson scored unassisted at the 37:54 mark. Capital added another goal early in the second when Natasha Ballard found the back of the net at the 49:31 mark.

Overall, Capital attempted 20 shots while holding the Jackets to none. 

In net, B-W sophomore goalie Meagan McLaughlin (Warren/ Cardinal Mooney) faced eight shots on goal and recorded six saves.

B-W is back in action on Saturday, October 24 at Marietta College at 3:30 p.m. in the second game of a men's and women's doubleheader. The Yellow Jacket men take on the Pioneers at 1:00 p.m.
