B-W's Stephanie Geiger Named OAC Player of the Week

BEREA, OHIO - Baldwin-Wallace College senior sweeper Stephanie Geiger (Berea) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her performance during two Yellow Jacket victories last week.

Geiger, who carries a 3.62 grade average in criminal justice and chemistry, earned her accolade for scoring three goals and leading the Yellow Jackets, 5-5-2 overall and 1-0 in the OAC, to wins against St. Vincent (Pa.) College, 3-0, and versus OAC-rival Mt. Union College, 3-2, in B-W's OAC opener. Against St. Vincent, Geiger scored once and aided the defense in its shutout, and she scored twice, including the game-winner in the 79th minute in the win against the Purple Raiders. Geiger leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring after 11 games with four goals and eight points.

Following a game against Heidelberg University in Tiffin on Wednesday (Oct. 7), Geiger and B-W will host nationally-ranked Otterbein College at Finnie Stadium at 7:00 p.m.
