Women's Soccer Team Falls to Westminster (Pa.), 3-0, in New Wilmington

BEREA, OHIO - The Baldwin-Wallace College women's soccer team lost toWestminster College, 3-0, today (Saturday, September 26, 2009) in the second game of a men's and women's doubleheader in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.

With its loss, B-W is now 3-5-2 overall and next plays on Tuesday, Sept. 29 when the Yellow Jackets host St. Vincent (Pa.) College in the first match of a women's and men's doubleheader on the Tressel Field pitch at The George Finnie Stadium in Berea at 5:00 p.m. With its win, Westminster is now 7-2 overall

Westminster's Sarah Nee had all three goals for the Titans, with her first coming at the 22:00 mark off a through ball.  Westminster carried the 1-0 lead into the half.  In the second stanza, Nee added her second at 50:48 and then sealed with her goal of the day in the 76th minute.

Overall, the Titans oushot the Jackets, 22-6, and outcornered B-W, 4-2.

In goal for B-W, sophomore Meagan McLaughlin (Warren/Cardinal Mooney) played all 90 minutes and made seven saves. 

Following its match against St. Vincent on Sept. 29, B-W plays next Saturday, October 3 when it opens 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference action against Mount Union College at Finnie Stadium at 1:00 p.m.
