Men’s Soccer Team Cancelled Against MSJ

CINCINNATI, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer team traveled to the College of Mount St. Joseph tonight (Wednesday, September 26, 2012) in a non-league match and were cancelled in the first half due to lightning.

BW is currently ranked sixth in the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Region and are 5-2-1 overall on the year.

Senior Pat Brennan (Akron/ Walsh Jesuit) is leading the Yellow Jacket offense in scoring with six goals and has two assists. In addition to Brennan, sophomore Ben Deighton (Richfield/ Revere) has contributed four goals so far and has three assists.

In goal, the senior duo of Ryan Hulings (Centerville) and Tyler Beaton (Bemus Point, N.Y. / Maple Grove) have played every minute. Hulings has a 3-0-1 record and has 18 saves so far this season. Beaton's record is currently 2-2 with 16 saves.  
 
The Yellow Jacket men open 2012 Ohio Athletic Conference play this Saturday, Sept. 29 in Westerville and against Otterbein University in the nightcap of a women's and men's doubleheader at 3:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, October 9, the Yellow Jacket men's and women's soccer teams will host Ohio Athletic Conference foe Heidelberg University in a doubleheader that will be televised by SportsTime Ohio (STO).  This is the fifth straight year that BW has televised a soccer doubleheader and will put a 7-1 combined record on the line, including a 4-0 mark by the women.
