BEREA, OHIO – Two Baldwin Wallace University men's soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2012-2013 OCSA (Ohio College Soccer Association) Division III Coaches All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio teams. Senior CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America men's soccer standout Pat Brennan (Akron/ Walsh Jesuit) headlines the list as he was named first-team Academic All-Ohio and second-team All-Ohio.

Brennan, a forward, is a first-team Academic All-Ohio pick and a second-team All-Ohio selection. He is joined on the Academic All-Ohio squad by junior defender Judson Sprandel (Akron/ Green), who was a third-team choice.

"We are proud of both of our exceptional student-athletes," said veteran Head Coach Reid Ayers. "Both have a 3.8 or better grade point average and were leaders on teams with winning records. They are what is great about Division III athletics and the Division III philosophy."

Brennan, who carries a 3.8 grade point average in BW's Masters of Accounting program, earned All-Ohio and Academic All-Ohio honors for the third straight time. He also ended his career as a three-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and Academic All-OAC choice, a two-time NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) All-Region pick, a two-time CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 selection and a CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American as a junior.

Brennan, a four-year starter, ended his BW career fifth all-time in scoring with 72 points, sixth in goals scored with 27 and fifth in assists with 18.  He was garnered first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors this season after being selected second-team as both a sophomore and junior. The four-year starter was fifth all-time in scoring with 72 points, sixth in goals scored with 27 and fifth in assists with 18.  This season, despite missing three full matches and most of three others due to an injury, Brennan led the Yellow Jackets in scoring with eight goals and two assists for 18 points. He also led the team with 44 shots taken, including 25 on-goal.

Sprandel, who carries a 3.91 grade point average in biology and pre-med, has been a key member of a defense that has allowed less than a goal per game during his career.  He is a two-time Academic All-OAC choice and earned CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 honors this fall.

Brennan and Sprandel helped the BW men compile a 7-6-4 record this fall.
