Wells Garners OAC Hitter of the Week Award

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Senior first baseman/designated hitter Philip Wells (Buffalo, N.Y./Saint Joseph's Collegiate), of the Baldwin Wallace University baseball team has earned the Ohio Athletic Conference Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career.

Wells garners this accolade after a three-for-five (.600 BA) week where the lefty blasted two homeruns, drove in four runs and scored four runs of his own in the two victories over No. 15 Nationally Ranked, Adrian (Mich.) College and Ohio Wesleyan University. Wells is tied for third in the OAC with 21 runs batted-in (RBI).

For his career, Wells has hit five homeruns, totaled 66 RBI's, 22 doubles, 98 hits, 44 runs scored and owns a career .328 batting average.
