Baseball Falls to Moravian

NORTH CHARLOTTE, Fla. – The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team dropped their third straight game after a 6-2 loss to Moravian (Pa.) College at the South County Regional Park.

BW (3-5) scored two runs off seven hits with one run coming in the fourth and the fifth.

The Yellow Jackets were led by sophomore infielder Tony LaParo (Avon/Elyria Catholic) as he marked a career-high three hits and one run. Senior Kyle Pennington (Wadsworth) recorded two hits and one run as sophomore Alex Ludwick (Brunswick/Padua Franciscan) tallied one hit.

Senior Jack Raines (Akron/Archbishop Hoban) got the start and went five innings with three runs off seven hits, four strikeouts and received the loss. Junior right-handed-pitcher Spencer Aukerman (Medina) came in relief and went two innings with two unearned runs and three strikeouts. Junior Max Adams (Massillon/Washington) entered in the eighth and recorded an out with one run and two hits. Freshman Garret McLeod (Medina) got the final two outs for BW.

BW hits the diamond tomorrow at 12:30 p.m against Kean (N.J.) University in the final game of the Snowbird Classic.
