BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team under the direction of 14th-year Head Coach Reid Ayers opens the 2016 campaign on the road against Ohio Wesleyan University on September 1.
The schedule features two tournaments. BW will compete at the Herb Lauffer Memorial Tournament hosted by Penn State Behrend on September 3 and 4 and the Blue Devil Tournament hosted by Fredonia State (N.Y.) on September 9 and 10 along with seven other non-conference games and nine Ohio Athletic Conference games.
In addition, the Yellow Jackets play non-league contests on the road versus cross-town rival Case Western Reserve on September 14, Defiance College on September 24 and Grove City (Pa.) College on September 28.
The Yellow Jackets play non-conference home games against Oberlin College on September 6, Bluffton University on September 17 and Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) University on September 20.
BW opens OAC play at home on October 1 against Marietta College. The Yellow Jackets will also hosts league contests against Wilmington College on October 7, Heidelberg University on October 18, Ohio Northern on October 26 and finish the season with a Seniors' and Parents' Night match against Capital University on October 29.
The OAC Tournament will begin on October 31 and will conclude on November 5, with the winner earning an automatic bid to the NCAA III Tournament.
BW finished the 2015 season with an overall record of 11-6-5 and was fourth in the OAC with a 4-2-3 league mark. The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinal game after knocking off the number five seed in the first round.
