Women's Soccer Defeated by Cross-Town and OAC Rival John Carroll

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS, Ohio—The Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team was defeated, 2-0, by Ohio Athletic Conference and cross-town rival John Carroll University on Wasmer Field inside Don Shula Stadium.

BW (8-6-1, 2-2 OAC) was outshot 17-6 by John Carroll (5-3-6, 2-0-2 OAC), but the Yellow Jackets put four of its six shots on net.

After a scoreless first half, the Blue Streaks scored the only two goals of the game early in the second half to secure the victory. Sophomore forward Bailey Fischer netted the first goal off a cross from freshman forward Jaclyn Audino in the 58th minute and Audino scored the final goal off an assist from sophomore midfielder Maddy Fisher at the 63:03 mark.

Freshman goalkeeper Sophia Weidner (Medina) made a career-high tying nine saves for BW.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, October 15 when it travels to Muskingum to face Muskingum University in an Ohio Athletic Conference game on Sherman Field at 1 p.m.
