Eight Women's Soccer Student-Athletes Garner All-OAC Accolade

 Eight Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer student-athletes have been named to the 2016 Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. 

In order to be selected as Academic All-OAC a student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and maintain varsity status.

Senior defender Allie Lehky (Cincinnati/Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy), junior midfielder Jenny Burdick (Chesterfield, Va. /Matoaca), junior defender Lauren Haynam (Minerva), junior midfielder Anna Poptic (Dublin/Jerome), junior goalkeeper Julianna Rubin (Fort Pierce, Fla./Jensen Beach), sophomore forward Rachel Bender (Massillon/Jackson), sophomore defender Bri Osborne (Cincinnati /Batavia) and sophomore forward Joy Trillet (Broadview Heights/Wadsworth) are eight of the 28 fall student-athletes to be recognized.  The eight student-athletes were the most of any fall BW team.

Lehky, who earns her second straight Academic All-OAC honor, is a chemistry major that carries a 3.81 grade point average. She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a member of the Alpha Lambda Honor Society.  Lehky has appeared in 59 career games with a goal and an assist for three points.  

Burdick, who garners her second straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is a mathematics major that carries a 3.73 grade point average.  She has appeared in 32 career games with two goals and one assists for five points.

Haynam, who earns her second straight Academic All-OAC honor, is an accounting major that carries a 3.69 grade point average.  She is a Dean's List student.  Haynam has appeared in 66 career games with two goals and four assists for eight points.  

Poptic, who garners her second straight Academic All-OAC accolade, is a public health major that carries a 3.76 grade point average.  She was an All-OAC honorable mention this fall.   Poptic has appeared in 66 games with nine goals and seven assists for 25 points.

Rubin, who earns her second straight Academic All-OAC honor is a sport management major that carries a 3.90 grade point average.  She is a Dean's List student, a Jacket Scholar and a student-assistant in the athletic communications office.   Rubin has appeared in four games and made one save. 

Bender, who garners her first Academic All-OAC accolade, is a communication disorders major that carries a 3.87 grade point average.  She is a two-time All-OAC first-team selection. Bender led the OAC during the regular season with a career-high 48 points and was second in the league during the regular season with career-bests in goals (19) and assists (9). In two seasons, she has played in 44 games and has tallied 30 goals, 13 assists and 73 points.

Osborne, who earns her first Academic All-OAC honor, is a pre-physical therapy major that carries a 3.83 grade point average.  She has appeared in 33 career games and has taken one shot.

Trillet, who garners her first Academic All-OAC accolade, is a marketing major that carries a 3.61 grade point average.   She is a student assistant in the athletic communications office and a student photographer/videographer.  Trillet has appeared in 28 career games with two goals and two assists for six points.
