UNIONTOWN, Ohio— Senior defender Kelly Gough (Hudson) headlines the Baldwin Wallace University women's soccer team's four All-Ohio Athletic Conference honors. Gough was named the OAC Defender-of-the-Year as well as being named a first-team selection. 

Along with Gough, sophomore forward Rachel Bender (Massillon/Jackson) was a a first-team selection while junior midfielders Alex Elliott (Blacklick/IMG Academy) and Anna Popitc (Dublin/Jerome) were both tabbed as second-team selections.

Gough, who earned her third first-team selection and her second Defender-of-the-Year honor, was a force on the defensive end and scored a career-high tying four goals for eight points.  For her career, she appeared in a school-record tying 84 games and  17 goals, four assists and 38 total points.

Bender garners her second straight first-team selection after a career-best season. She led the conference during the regular season with a career-high 48 points and was second in the league during the regular season with career-bests in goals (19) and assists (9). In two seasons, Bender has played in 44 games and has tallied 30 goals, 13 assists and 73 points.

Elliott earned her second All-OAC honor after being tabbed a first-team selection in 2014. This season, she recorded career-bests in goals (10), assists (4) and points (24). Elliott was second on the team in points and goals scored. For her career, she has played in 62 games and has scored 26 goals and added eight assists for 60 points.

Poptic garnered her second straight second-team accolade. This season, she scored a career-high tying three goals and added two assists for eight points. Poptic has played in 64 career games and has scored nine goals and added seven assists for 25 points.
 

BW finished the year with an overall record of 12-9-1 and an OAC mark of 5-4. The Yellow Jackets advanced to the OAC Tournament semifinals for the third consecutive year.
