Five Men’s and Women’s Soccer Players Honored by the OCSA

BEREA, Ohio – Five Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's soccer players were recognized by the Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association (OCSA) for earning All-Ohio honors at the Columbus Crew match this past Saturday inside Mapfre Stadium.

The OCSA recognized all of the All-Ohio and All-Ohio Academic honorees during halftime of the Columbus Crew match against Orlando City Soccer Club on Saturday. The OCSA is one of the oldest soccer organizations in the country founded in 1953 and its members consistent of colleges and universities of all divisions within the state of Ohio.

The Yellow Jackets who were recognized at the game were senior two-time All-Ohio first-team selection Kelly Gough (Hudson), sophomore first-team honoree Rachel Bender (Massillon/Jackson), junior second-team and first-team All-Ohio Academic selection Anna Poptic (and all-Ohio, junior third-team All-Ohio Academic Lauren Haynam (Minerva) and men's freshman second-team honoree Danny Ruple (Berea/Berea-Midpark).
