Track and Field Teams Announce 2017 Schedule

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's track and field teams are set to begin the 2017 season when they travel to Ada on January 21 for the Ohio Athletic Conference North Split hosted by Ohio Northern University.

This season, BW will host four indoor home meets on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center highlighted by the OAC Indoor Championships on February 24 and 25. The Yellow Jackets also host the Dr. William Taraschke Classic on January 27, the Mid-February Meet on February 10 and the Greater Cleveland Championships on February 17.

In addition, BW travels to Hillsdale, Michigan to compete at the Hillsdale Wide Track Open on February 3, Westerville for the All-Ohio Indoor Championships on February 11 and Kent for the Kent State Tune-Up on February 18.

The Yellow Jackets indoor season is capped off on March 10 and 11 at the NCAA Indoor Championships hosted by North Central (Ill.) College on the Al B. Carius Track.

The outdoor schedule is highlighted by the Sparky Adams Invitational on April 22 and the Harrison Dillard Twilight on May 12th in the outdoor season hosted by BW.  

The Yellow Jackets will be making trips to Terre Haute, Indiana for the Rose-Hulman Early Bird Invitational on March 18, Townson, Maryland for the Goucher Track & Field Classic on March 25, Salem, Virginia for the Roanoke College Invitational on April 1, Naperville, Illinois for the Gregory Invitational on May 17 and 18 and Alliance for the John Homon Open hosted by Mount Union on April 8.

The OAC Outdoor Championships will be on April 28 and 29 in New Concord and hosted by Muskingum University on the Johnson Family Track.

The track and field seasons will come to a close at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on May 25-27 in nearby Geneva, Ohio hosted by the University of Mount Union at the Spire Institute.
