BEREA, OHIO – The Baldwin Wallace University Yellow Jacket men's outdoor track and field team were fourth following the final day of competition at the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet at The George Finnie Stadium.

The Yellow Jacket men scored 93 points to rank fourth of 10 teams.

The BW men were led by the 4x100 meter relay team of freshman Troy Robinson (Akron/Garfield), senior sprinter of the year Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/St. Ignatius), senior Shaun Cordes (Litchfield/Medina Buckeye), and sophomore Ben Beidleman (Washington, D.C./St. Anselm's Abbey). The team took first in a time of 41.28 seconds, and they earned All-OAC honors. Johnson also won the 100 meter and the 200 meter dash in 10.67 and 21.45 respectively, making him the OAC Champion in both events.

In addition to the 4x100 meter relay team, sophomore Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) placed second in the discus with a throw of 149-07, which earned him All-OAC honors. Beidleman placed second in the 200 meter dash with a time of 21.52, and earned All-OAC honors. Junior decathlete Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) placed third in the high jump, he cleared a height of 6-06.00 feet. Eddy's third place finish earned him All-OAC honors in the high jump.

On Friday, Burdorff placed second in the hammer (172'0") and third in the shot put (50'2.5").

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, April 9 when select members of the men's and women's teams will travel to Meadville, Pennsylvania and Allegheny College for the Annual Gator Invitational Meet.
