Tyler Burdoff Competes at Wisconsin-Oshkosh Final Qualifier

OSHKOSH, Wis. – One member of the Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field team competed at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Final Qualifier in attempt to qualify or better his marks for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

Sophomore Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) was the lone BW male thrower and he placed fourth in the hammer with a season-best throw of 189'7".  Burdorff's mark was the 11th best in the NCAA this season.   He also was 10th in the shot put with 49'11 and 13th in the discus with 137'8".
In addition, assistant coach Kevin Phipps '11 won the hammer throw as an unattached athlete with a throw of 215'3" more than 16 feet better than the next competitor.
The 2014 NCAA Division III National Championships are on May 22-24 in Delaware, Ohio on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.
