BW Men Finish Second at Greater Cleveland Meet

BEREA, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Greater Cleveland College Championship Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.  The BW men scored 271.5 points to finish second out of four teams.   

The Yellow Jacket men were led by junior Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) who placed first in the pole vault with the height 14-11.00. Eddy also placed second in the 55-meter hurdles with the time 7.98.

In running events for the men, sophomore distance runner Mike Miller (Strongsville) ran a time of 15:40.74 which earned him first place honors and was a season-best in the 5000-meter race.

Along with Miller, freshman Troy Robinson (Akron/Garfield) placed first in the 55-meter dash with the time of 6.63. Juniors Greg Blevins (Mentor) and Dusan Vasic (Broadview Heights/Brecksville-Broadview Heights) finished first and second in the 1-mile with season-best times 4:36:31 and 4:41.79, respectively.

In field events the men were led by sophomore thrower Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/Riverside) placed first in the weight throw with a season-high distance of 55-05.00.

Also, junior Wesley Wilson (Uniontown/Lake) placed third in long jump with a season-best distance of 19-07.50.

The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Saturday, February 22 when they travel to Kent to compete at the Kent State Tune-up Meet hosted by Kent State at 9:00 a.m.
