Johnson Sets School Record as BW Track Teams Compete at Kent State

BEREA, Ohio – Select members of the Baldwin Wallace University men's and women's indoor track and field teams competed at the annual Kent State University Open Meet. The meet was unscored.

The Yellow Jacket men were led by senior sprinter Kevin Johnson (Maple Heights/ Cleveland St. Ignatius) as he finished seventh in the 60-meter dash in a time of 6.93 seconds.  Johnson also took 16th place in the 200-meter dash in a school-record time of 22.40 seconds.

In addition, sophomore thrower Tyler Burdorff (Painesville/ Riverside) was seventh in the weight throw with a career-best toss of 57-feet and 11 inches.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, February 28 and Saturday, March 1 when they travel to Alliance to compete at the 2014 Ohio Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships hosted by the University of Mount Union.
