All-American Eddy Takes Second in All-Ohio Championships Decathlon

ALLIANCE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University All-American Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) finished second of six competitors in the 10-event decathlon with 6,435 points at the All-Ohio Mulit-Event Championnships hosted by the University of Mount Union. 

On the first day, Eddy placed first in the high jump with a leap of 6'6.25" for 794 points, second in the long jump with a leap of 21'4.75"  for 702 points and shot put with a throw of 37'1.25" for 565 points and fifth in both the 100-meter dash in 11.84 seconds for 6823 points and 400-meter dash in 54.96 seconds for 600 points.

On the second day, Eddy placed was third in the 110-meter high hurdles in 15.53 seconds for 787 points, first in the discus with a throw of 114'9" for 563 points, first in the pole vault with a vault of 15'1" for 790 points, third in the javelin with a throw of 161'11" for 579 points and sixth in the 1500-meter run in 5:35.60 for 372 points.

Next Saturday, April 12, The BW men's track and field teams travel to Delaware to compete in the annual All-Ohio Division III Championship Meet hosted Ohio Wesleyan University at Sleby Field. Field events begin at 11 a.m.
