Beidleman Earns CAPITAL ONE All-District 7 Honors
BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University track and field student-athlete, sophomore NCAA Division III All-American Ben Beidleman (Washington, D.C./ St. Anselm's Abbey), has been named as 2014 CAPITAL ONE Division III Academic All-District 7. Beidleman now qualifies for the national CAPITAL ONE Academic All-America ballot.

Beidleman
carries a 4.0 grade average in economics and accounting and is one of the nation's top Division III sprinters. Last weekend, he earned Div. III All-America honors when he placed eighth in the 200 meters at the national meet and had a career-best time of 21.43 seconds in the preliminaries. He also was a member of BW's ninth-place 4x100-meter relay team that had the best time in the nation heading into the meet with a 40.61-second timing.

In addition, Beidleman also ranked 25th in Div. III in the 100 meters with a best time of 10.82 seconds and he placed second at OAC Championships to teammate Kevin Johnson in 200. He is both a two-time OAC champion and a two-time All-Ohio champion.

In the classroom, Beidleman is a Dean's List student, a member of the Alpha Lambda and Chi Sigma Alpha honoraries and a Jacket Scholar. He received an award for having the highest grade average on track team.
