Brandon Eddy Wins All-Ohio Multi-Events Championship

GRANVILLE, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University junior All-American Brandon Eddy (Cuyahoga Heights) finished first of eight competitors, won the seven-event heptathlon title and set a school-record at the 2014 All-Ohio Division III Multi-Event Championships hosted by Denison University in the Mitchel Fieldhouse

Eddy scored 5,091 points and took first in three events. The 5,091 points is third best point total in NCAA Division III track and field this season and is a Yellow Jacket school-record. He had season-bests in every event.  Eddy won the high jump with a leap of six-feet and five and one-half inches (776 points), long jump with a leap of 21'4.25" (700 points) and the pole vault 15' 7" (834 points).  He had three second places finishes in the shot put with a throw of 39'5.75" (608 points), the 1,000-meter run in a time of 3:01.79 (647 points) and the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.62 (832 points).  Eddy was fifth in the 60-meter dash in 7.56 seconds (694 points).

The Yellow Jacket track and field teams are back in action on Friday, February 14 when they host the annual Mid-February Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track at 5 p.m.   BW then travels to Westerville on Saturday to compete in the All-Ohio Division III Championships hosted by Otterbein at 11 a.m. The final home indoor meet is the Friday, February 21 when the Yellow Jackets host the annual Greater Cleveland College Indoor Championship Meet at 5 p.m.
