Hamilton Takes OAC Women’s Golf Weekly Honors

BEREA, OHIO -- Senior CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American and two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference standout Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) was named OAC women's golfer of the week for her efforts at the season-ending Ohio Northern University Invitational at the Colonial Golfers Club in Harrod, Ohio.

Hamilton shot a 27-hole score of 126 strokes and led all OAC players in helping the Yellow Jackets to a second place finish.

Hamilton had a 41 for nine holes in the shortened first round and carded an 85 on the second day to better junior teammate and two-time All-OAC player Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/ Darby) for the best score by an OAC player.

A year ago, Hamilton, who carries a 3.957 grade average in English, was a finalist for the NCAA Division III 'Elite 89" Award in women's golf.
