BW Women’s Golf Team Plays First Day OWU Laura Bump Tourney

OSTRANDER, OHIO – The defending Ohio Athletic Conference champion Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team competed today (Saturday, April 13, 2013) in the first round of the two-round and 36-hole Ohio Wesleyan University Laura Bump Tournament at the Millcreek Golf Club. The second round is tomorrow, Sunday, April 14. 

The Yellow Jackets totalled 328 strokes on the par-72, 5,800-yard Millcreek G.C. layout with a 20-mile-per-hour wind.


The Yellow Jackets were led by junior All-OAC player Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/ Darby) with an 80. She was followed by senior All-OAC, Academic All-OAC and CAPITAL ONE Academic All-District 7 player Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) with an 82, senior CAPITAL ONE Academic All-American and All-OAC standout Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) and junior All-OAC player Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) with 83's and junior All-OAC player Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/ Christian) with an 87.


Competing individually, senior Sarah Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls/ Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) had a career-low 89 and freshman Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/ South) had a 98.


BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, April 19-20 when they travel to Ada, Ohio to compete at the annual Ohio Northern University Spring Invitational Tournament at the Colonial Hills Golf Club.
