BEREA, OHIO -- The two-time defending Ohio Athletic Conference Champion Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team will look to earn its third straight OAC championship and its third straight trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament this season. The success of the past two seasons is part of the reason the Yellow Jackets are ranked 25th in the GolfWorld/NGCA Division III Women's Golf Coaches Preseason Poll.

Leading the way for the Yellow Jackets, will be the return of all five starters from the past two championship squads. Seniors Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/St. Joseph Academy) and Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) along with Miranda Cunningham (Dayton/Dayton Christian), Rebecca Jones (Hilliard/Darby) and Emilee Woolf (Ravenna) all have their sights on remaining atop the OAC for the third straight season.

In addition, senior Sarah Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) and junior Sarah Allred (Akron/Green) along with newcomers Sabre Adkins (Dublin/Coffman) and Laura Vidmar (Willoughby/South) will push the starting five for playing time.

BW will open the fall portion of its schedule when it will travel to Granville on Saturday and Sunday, September 8-9 to compete in the two-day Denison University Invitational at the Granville Country Club. The Denison Invitational is one of five fall tournaments for the Yellow Jackets.
