Clark, Friscone, and Pfeiffer Earn All-OAC Honors; No. 18 Men's Indoor Track and Field Finishes Fourth After Day Two of OAC Championships

NEW CONCORD, Ohio - The No. 18 nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team finished in fourth place after the second and final day of the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships, hosted by Muskingum University.

BW was fourth of 10 teams with 63 points. University of Mount Union won the OAC Indoor Championships with 198 points. 

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included: 

  • Senior All-OAC hurdler ShaDaryll Clark II (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) earned his second indoor All-OAC honors in the 60-meter hurdles after finishing first with a time of 8.18.
  • Sophomore All-OAC distance runner Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia) placed fourth in the 800-meter run in a time of 1:56.03.

Field events highlights:

  • Sophomore All-OAC triple jumper Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia) earned his first indoor All-OAC honors in the triple jump after placing first with a distance of 45' and 8".
  • Junior All-OAC high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) earned his second indoor All-OAC honors in the high jump after finishing first with a distance of 6' and 9¾".

On the relay side:

  • In the 4x200 meter relay crew, sophomore Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding), freshman Cam Gay (Aurora, Colo. / Eaglecrest), freshman Gavin Franks (Cortland / Lakeview), freshman All-OAC sprinter Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty), and sophomore Rodney Washington Jr. (Warrensville Heights / Benedictine) finished fifth in a time of 1:31.83.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, March 2 for the Mount Union Final Qualifier and Tufts Qualifying Meet.
