Hach Breaks Record; Men's Indoor Track and Field Competes at Ed Finnigan Greater Cleveland Colleges Invite

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Ed Finnigan Greater Ceveland Colleges Invitational hosted by Case Western Reserve University. The meet was unscored.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Freshman Dillon Hach (Medina) placed first in the 1000-meter run in a time of 2:30.45. Hach broke a 22 year-old BW indoor record from 2002 that was originally set by Tim Budic.
  • Sophomore Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding) finished first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.47.
  • Junior Carter Almady (Brunswick) placed first in the 3000-meter run with a time of 8:51.15.
  • Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference hurdler ShaDaryll Clark ll (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) finished first in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.33.

Field event highlights:

  • Junior Kaleu Tellas (Indianapolis, Ind. / International School of Indiana) finished first in the shot put and the weight throw, with a distance of 15.43 meters in the shot put and 15.62 meters in the weight throw.
  • Freshman Noah Baer (Cartersville, Ga. / Woodland) placed first in the pole vault with a distance of 4.20 meters.
  • Junior All-OAC high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) won the high jump with a distance of 2.03 meters.

On the relay side:

  • In the 4x400 meter relay squad, Hach, freshman Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty), sophomore Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia), and junior Nick Young (Wadsworth) finished second in a time of 3:26.36.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Friday, Feb. 23 for day one of the OAC Indoor Championships hosted by Muskingum University.
