Men's Indoor Track and Field Competes at the SPIRE Midwest Open

GENEVA, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the SPIRE Midwest Open hosted by SPIRE Institute. The meet was unscored.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Senior All-Ohio Athletic Conference hurdler ShaDaryll Clark ll (Brook Park / Berea-Midpark) placed third in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.30
  • Freshman Wesley Noeth (Powell / Olentangy Liberty) placed sixth in the 400-meter dash in a time of 49.97. Noeth finished with the third best 400-meter dash time in the history of the indoor track and field program.

Field event highlights:

  • Junior All-OAC high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) won the high jump with a distance of 6 feet and 9 inches. Pfeiffer tied for the second tallest high jump distance in the history of the indoor track and field program.
  • Sophomore Kaeden Faggs (Marion / Harding) finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 21 feet and 6¼ inches

On the relay side:

  • In the 4x400 meter relay crew, Noeth, junior Nick Young (Wadsworth), sophomore Sam Sikorski (Columbia Station / Columbia), and freshman Dillon Hach (Medina) finished 10th in a time of 3:29.13

The Yellow Jackets are back in action Saturday, Jan. 27 at 10 a.m. as they host the Dr. Taraschke Team Challenge on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.
