Men's Indoor Track and Field Competes at the Dan Kinsey Invite

OBERLIN, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed at the Dan Kinsey Invite hosted by Oberlin College. The meet was unscored.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

  • Freshman Cam Gay (Aurora, Colo. / Eaglecrest) placed first in the 200-meter dash in a time of 23.34
  • Sophomore Brady Wilson (Clyde) finished first in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 9.29
  • Freshman Trent Macura (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls) placed second in the 3000-meter run in a time of 10:03.37

Field event highlights:

  • Freshman TJ Gibbons (Willoughby / Lake Catholic) won the high jump with a distance of 1.90 meters
  • Freshman Noah Baer (Cartersville, Ga. / Woodland) finished first in the pole vault with a distance of 4.10 meters
  • Sophomore Drexton Friscone (Columbia Station / Columbia) won the triple jump with a distance of 13.75 meters

On the relay side:

  • In the 4x400 meter relay crew, Macura, junior Jackson Tucker (Akron / Lake Center Christian School), sophomore Miles Heyse (Middleburg Heights / Berea-Midpark), and junior Connor Foody (Pittsburgh, Pa. / North Allegheny) finished third in a time of 3:55.38

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 3 for the second and final day of the Third Jud Logan Light Giver Open hosted by Ashland University.
