CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field team competed at the 10th Annual Spartan Holiday Classic hosted by Case Western Reserve University in the Veale Center. The meet was unscored.

The Yellow Jackets individual events highlights included:

• Freshman Nick Marcovitch (San Antonio, Texas / Claudia Taylor Johnson) won the 1000-meter run in a time of 2:42.29
• Freshman Sage Egan (Toledo / Ottawa Hills) placed seventh in the one-mile in a time of 4:49.14

Field event highlights:

• Junior All-Ohio Athletic Conference high jumper Christian Pfeiffer (Amherst) won the high jump with a distance of 6 feet and 8 inches
• Senior thrower John Haberman (Hamburg, N.Y.) finished third in the weight throw with a distance of 48 feet
• Freshman TJ Gibbons (Willoughby / Lake Catholic) placed third in the high jump with a distance of 6 feet and 2¾ inches

On the relay side:

• In the 4x400 meter relay team, Marcovitch, Egan, freshman Trent Macura (Stow / Stow-Munroe Falls), and freshman Gavin Ross (Norwalk / St. Paul) finished sixth in a time of 3:44.10

The Yellow Jackets are back in action Saturday, Jan. 13 as they host the Alumni Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track inside the Lou Higgins Center Fieldhouse.
