PEPPER HIKE, Ohio – The Baldwin Wallace University men's tennis team dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference matchup against John Carroll University, 7-2.
After falling behind 3-0 in the doubles matches, senior two-time All-Ohio Athletic Conference and two-time Academic All-OAC Dominic Polifrone (Hudson) got the Yellow Jackets on the board with a win by retirement after scores of 6-2 and 4-1. The other victory for BW came from Junior Jake Elbin (Findlay), as he fell in the first set 2-6 and battled back to win the next two, 6-4 and won the tie-breaker 10-7.
BW will be back in action on Monday, April 8 for a non-conference matchup with Grove City (Pa.) College at 3:30 p.m and will return home on Wednesday, April 10 for a conference matchup against Ohio Northern University at 4 p.m.
