Today's Contest
Today is the final regular season home game of the 2018 season for the Baldwin Wallace University football team as it hosts an Ohio Athletic Conference game against Ohio Northern University on Seniors' and Parents' Day and the 30th Anniversary of the 1988 OAC Championship.  BW rallied to beat Marietta College by a final score of 30-28 on a 42-yard field goal as time expired last Saturday in Marietta.  Ohio Northern fell to No. 1-nationally ranked University of Mount Union in their final regular season home game by a final score of 55-24 last Saturday.

The Series
BW and Ohio Northern are meeting for the 44th time on the gridiron. The Yellow Jackets hold a 29-13-1 advantage in the all-time series  The Polar Bears have won the last two meetings and have picked up the last two victories in Berea.  The last time BW defeated Ohio Northern at home was in the 2013 season by a final score of 38-17 on Homecoming.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert 
Hilvert is in his second season at BW and has a record of 13-5 and an OAC slate of 11-5. He is 80-24 in his 10th overall season and is 0-1 against Ohio Northern.

Ohio Northern Head Coach Dean Paul 
Paul is in his 15th season at Ohio Northern and is the all-time winningest coach in program history with a record of 95-49. He has an OAC mark of 82-44. Paul is 134-61 in 18 overall seasons and is 5-9 against BW.

Last Game vs. Ohio Northern -- November 11, 2017
BW scored 25 points on 293 yards passing, 224 yards rushing and 517  total yards.  Ohio Northern scored 45 points on 310 yards rushing, 115 yards passing and 425 total yards.  

Scouting the Yellow Jackets
In week eight of the season, BW scored 30 points, including 27 in the second half on 293 yards passing, 96 yards rushing and 389 total yards.  Marietta scored 21 of its 28 points in the first half on 274 yards passing, 130 yards rushing and 404 total yards.

BW Leaders
Offensively, senior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) is second in the OAC with 2024 yards passing,which is four yards shy of setting a career-high.  Hudson has completed 123 of 186 passes with a career-high tying 18 touchdowns and seven interceptions.  Sophomore running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) ranks fifth in the OAC in yards rushing with 631 yards on 77 carries.  Murray has found the end zone seven times, including a career-long 80-yarder. Senior wide receiver Rob Wolfington (Rapids City, Mich./Elk Rapids) tops the receiving corps and is tied for eighth in the OAC with 34 catches for 538 yards and five touchdowns. Defensively, senior All-OAC defensive back Ty Fields (St. Augustine) tops the squad with 47 tackles. Senior defensive end Wezlee Spence (North Canton/Hoover) is third with 38 stops but leads the team with 12 tackles for loss and a career-high nine quarterback sacks.

Scouting the Polar Bears:
In week of the eight of the season, Ohio Northern scored 24 points on 236 yards passing and 82 yards rushing for 318 yards of total offense. Mount Union scored 55 points on 358 yards passing and 182 yards rushing for 540 yards of total offense.

Ohio Northern Leaders: 
Offensively, junior Academic All-OAC quarterback Anthony McFadden has completed 130 of 216 passes for 1,826 yards with 18 touchdowns and four interceptions.  Sophomore running back A.J. Marks and freshman running back Brock Martin lead the ground game.  Marks tops the team with 591 yards and Martin is the team's leader in touchdowns with 10.  Senior All-OAC wide out Chad Rex leads the OAC with 64 catches second  in the with 786 yards and tied for third with eight touchdowns.  Defensively, junior All-OAC linebacker Mark Niles is second in the OAC with 81 tackles.
