Today's Game
Today's is the third and final game of a three-game season opening home stand and the second Ohio Athletic Conference game of 2018 for the Baldwin Wallace University football team.  BW hosts defending NCAA Division III Champion and  No. 1-nationally ranked University of Mount Union on Community Day, Homecoming and Past Captains Day.  The Yellow Jackets opened OAC action last Saturday night with an impressive 33-3 victory over Otterbein University.  Mount Union, who was idle last week, opened the 2018 season with a 54-0 victory over Rose-Hulman (Ind.) Institute of Technology.

Series Notes 
BW and Mount Union have met 56 times on the gridiron.  The Purple Raiders lead the all-time series by a margin of 34-21-1, including winning the last 23 contests. The series began in 1896 as the Yellow Jackets posted a 10-0 victory in Alliance.  The last BW win came in 1994 when it knocked off Mount Union by a final score of 23-10 in Alliance.  The last Yellow Jacket victory in Berea was in 1991 when they beat the Purple Raiders by a final score of 21-18.

Hilvert is in his second season at BW and has a record of 8-4 and OAC slate of 6-4. He is 75-23 in his 10th overall season and is 0-1against Mount Union. 

Mount Union Head Coach Vince Kehres: 
Kehres is in his sixth season at Mount Union with a 71-4 record. He is 5-0 vs. Baldwin Wallace.

Last Meeting vs. Mount -- September 23, 2017: 
BW scored seven points on 103 yards rushing, 82 yards passing and 185 total yards.  Mount Union scored 55 points on 325 yards rushing, 219 yards passing and 544 total yards. 

Scouting the Yellow Jackets
In week two of the season, BW scored 33 points on 310 yards passing, 88 yards rushing and 398 total yards.  Otterbein scored three points on 89 yards passing, 46 yards rushing and 135 total yards.  

BW Leaders
Offensively, senior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 45 of 59 passes for 507 yards with six touchdowns and no interceptions.  Sophomore running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) leads the ground attack with 128 yards on 21 carries with a long of 34 yards. Senior wider receiver Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville East) tops the receiving corps with 11 catches for 111 yards and two touchdowns. Senior wide out Rob Wolfington (Rapids City, Mich./Elk Rapids) is second with eight catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns.  Defensively, senior defensive end Wezlee Spence (North Canton/Hoover) leads the squad with 15 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 quarterback sacks.

Scouting the Purple Raiders
In week one of the season, Mount Union scored 54 points on 316 rushing yards, 213 rushing yards and 529 total yards. Rose-Hulman was held scoreless on 80 rushing yards, 27 passing yards and 107 total yards. 

Mount Union Leaders
Offensively, junior quarterback D'Angelo Fulford has completed 17 of 27 passes for 192 yards and two touchdowns.  Sophomore running back Josh Petruccelli leads the ground attack with 115 yards on 13 carries with one touchdown. Junior wide receiver Justin Hill lead the receiving corps with five receptions for 59 yards.   Defensively, junior linebacker and Trey Williams and junior defensive lineman Ethan McComb each had seven tackles
