AUSTIN, TEXAS – Baldwin Wallace University junior Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference offensive lineman Ryan Sympson (North Lima/South Range) and junior Academic All-OAC free safety Kyle Kelly (Wadsworth/St. Vincent-St. Mary) have been named to the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Google Cloud Academic All-America Division III Football team.

Sympson, who carries a 3.95 grade point average in biology and pre-med, garners his first Academic All-America honor as he was named to the first-team. He appeared in four games this season on a Yellow Jacket team that averaged 38.8 points per game and 456.6 total yards of offense per contest.  In three seasons, Sympson has appeared in 16 games.

Kelly, who carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average in physical therapy, earns his first Academic All-America accolade as he was selected to the second-team.  He appeared and started in all 10 games this season.  Kelly was tied for eighth on the team with 28 tackles and also recorded two pass breakups.   For his career, Kelly has appeared in 21 games and tallied 75 tackles and five pass breakups.

Sympson and Kelly become the third and fourth Yellow Jacket student-athletes to be named as Academic All-Americans this fall.  BW now has 115 all-time Academic All-Americans, which is more than any Division III college or university in the OAC or the state of Ohio, and ranks 12th nationally in Division III.
