Today's Game
Today is the just the second day game of the 2018 season, the second road contest and the fourth Ohio Athletic Conference game for the Baldwin Wallace University football team.  The Yellow Jackets won their first road game and third night contest of the season with a 34-10 victory over  Heidelberg University last Saturday. Capital University was idle last week.

Series Notes 
BW and Capital are meeting for the 50th times on the gridiron.  The Yellow Jackets hold a 37-12  series lead, including winning five of the last seven meetings. The series began in 1928 when Capital defeated BW, 19-0, in Bexley.  The Crusaders last victory in Berea was in 2011 when they posted a 14-11 win. The last BW victory in Bexley was in 2014 with a 48-14 victory.

BW Head Coach Jim Hilvert
Hilvert is in his second season at BW and has a record of 9-5 and an OAC slate of 7-5. He is 76-24 in his 10th overall season and is 2-0 against Capital

Capital Head Coach Chad Rogosheske: 
Rogosheske is in his third season at Capital and has a record of 5-18 overall and an OAC record of 5-15 and   He is 15-38 in his sixth overall seasons and is 1-1 vs. Baldwin Wallace.

Last Game Meeting vs. Capital (10-28-17)
BW scored 52 points on 363 yards passing, 277 yards rushing and 640  total yards.  Capital scored 34  points on 286 yards passing, 117 yards rushing and 403 total yards.  

Scouting the Yellow Jackets:
In week four of the season, BW scored 34 points on 256 yards passing, 161  yards rushing and 417 total yards.  Heidelberg scored 10 points on 168 yards passing, 131 yards rushing and 299 total yards.  

BW Leaders: 
Offensively, senior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has completed 74 of 113 passes for 979 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions.  Sophomore running back Jon Murray, Jr. (Cincinnati/Withrow) leads the ground attack with 243 yards on 45 carries with a long of 34 yards. Senior wider receiver Chad Steinwachs (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsville East) tops the receiving corps with 16 catches for 146 yards and three touchdowns. Defensively, junior linebacker Josh Liberati (Lisbon/David Anderson) and senior defensive end Wezlee Spence (North Canton/Hoover) top the squad with 21 tackles. Spence also leads the team with 5.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 quarterback sacks.

Scouting the Crusaders:
Capital was idle last week as it had its bye week during week four.   In their last game on Sept. 15, the Crusaders scored 40 points on 349 passing yards,111 rushing yards and 460 total yards. Heidelberg scored 44 points on 314 passing yards, 179 rushing yards and 493 total yards.

Capital Leaders: 
Offensively, senior All-OAC quarterback Thomas Wibbeler leads the aerial assault and the ground attack.  Wibbeler has completed 87 of 144 passes for 1,061 yards with 10 touchdowns and no interceptions.  He has rushed for 249 yards on 51 carries with four touchdowns. Junior All-OAC wide out David Barnett leads the receiving corps with 25 catches for 348 yards and three touchdowns.  Defensively, sophomore defensive lineman Matthew Laufo leads the team with 30 tackles and tied for the team lead for tackles for loss and pass breakups with two apiece.
