Leverette Earns Second OAC Football Special Teams Player of the Week Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior wide receiver Jordan Leverette (Cleveland/John Adams) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time in his career. 

Leverette earned his second weekly accolade in explosive manner as he opened the 2018 NCAA Division III football season with a school-record and George Finnie Stadium record 100-yard kickoff return.  He earned his first weekly honor during the 2016 season.

Leverette also caught three passes for 63 yards with a 37-yard touchdown.

For his career, he has returned 27 kickoffs for 746 yards with two touchdowns.  Leverette has caught 30 career passes for 533 yards with five touchdowns.  He has also carried the ball 11 times for 87 yards.

BW continues its three-game season opening homestand when it begins OAC play against Otterbein University on Saturday, September 8 at 6 p.m.  That night, the Yellow Jackets will honor their first OAC Football Championship team with the 50th anniversary of the 1968 team. On Saturday, Sept. 15, BW will celebrate both its Homecoming and its annual Community & Family Day when it hosts the University of Mount Union at 2 p.m.
