Hudson Earns Second Career OAC Football Offensive Player of the Week Honor

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Baldwin Wallace University senior quarterback Jake Hudson (East Lake, Fla.) has been selected as the Ohio Athletic Conference Football Offensive Player of the Week for the second time in his career. 

Hudson, who earned his first weekly accolade last season, led the BW offense with 316 total yards and four touchdowns in a 34-10 OAC victory over Heidelberg last Saturday night.   He completed 18 of 27 passes for 256 yards with two touchdowns and led the ground attack with 60 yards on 14 carries with two touchdowns. 

This season, Hudson has completed 74 of 113 passes for 979 yards with nine touchdowns and two interceptions.   He has rushed for 132 yards on 55 carries with two touchdowns. 

For his career, Hudson has appeared in 23 games and has completed 340 of 558 passes for 4,494 yards with 35 touchdowns.  He has rushed for 1,326 yards on 307 carries with 13 touchdowns.  Hudson has also caught four passes for 139 yards with two touchdowns, including a career-long 71-yard touchdown last season.

The Yellow Jackers remain on the road next week when they travel to Bexley on Saturday, September 29 for an OAC game against Capital University at 1:30 p.m.  BW returns to the friendly confines of the Tressel Field inside the George Finnie Stadium after its bye week on Saturday, October 13 when it hosts an OAC game against Muskingum University on Hall of Fame Weekend at 1:30 p.m.
