BW Women's Golf Team Defeats Muskingum at Muskie Fall Invitational in Zanesville

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team placed first of two schools today (Monday, September 21, 2009) at the Muskingum Fall Invitational Tournament at the Jaycees Golf Club in Zanesville, Ohio.


The Yellow Jackets carded a total of 392 strokes to defeat Muskingum University, who totaled 426 strokes on the 5,819-yard, par-71 Jaycees G.C. layout.

Freshman Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) shot a 91 to place first out of the 10 players competing.  Freshman Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) followed with a 96 and sophomore Caci Lewandowski (Sharon Center/ Medina Highland) had a 101. Junior Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) carded a 104 and junior Sam Migalski (Manahawkin, N.J. /Southern Regional) golfed a 108.

Playing as an individual, freshman Emily Eighmy (Erie, Pa./ Villa Maria Academy) carded 107.

The  Yellow Jackets return to action on this Saturday and Sunday (September 26-27) when they compete at the two-day Heidelberg Fall Invitational at Mohawk G.C. in Tiffin.  Tee times are TBA.
