BW Women's Golf Team Fifth After Day One of Mount Union Invitational; Migalski Sinks Hole in One

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team ranks fifth of nine teams after day one (Saturday, March 27) of the 2010 Mount Union College Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf G.C. in Alliance. Highlighting the day was a hole in one by junior Sam Migalski (Manahawkin, N.J./ Southern Regional) on the par-three 15th.


The Yellow Jackets shot 388 as a team on the par-72 course.

Freshman Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/ St. Joseph Academy) led BW with an opening round 91. Freshman Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) was second at 94, freshman Sarah Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls/ Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) was third at 99, and junior Nicole Carlone (Canton/ St. Thomas Aquinas) rounded out the scoring with a 104. Freshman Emily Eighmy (Erie, Pa./ Villa Maria Academy) was fifth for the Yellow Jackets with a 112.

Migalski competed as an individual and shot 101 including her "ace" on the 129-yard 15th.

The Jackets wrap up the weekend at Tannenhauf tomorrow morning with a 10:00 a.m. shotgun start. Following tomorrow's round, BW is idle until the Capital University Purple & White Invitational on Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, at Foxfire G.C. in Lockbourne.
