BW Women's Golf Team Wraps Up Competition at NIU Snowbird Intercollegiate

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University women's golf team competed on the second and final day (Wednesday, March 10, 2010) of the Northern Illinois University Snowbird Intercollegiate at Pebblecreek Golf and Country Club in Tampa, Florida. The Yellow Jackets finished 13th overall and were one of only three Division III teams competing in a primarily Division I and II field.

The Jackets improved eight strokes from their day one total and shot 421 on the par-72 and 5,962-yard course.

Freshman Brooke Hamilton (Cleveland/St. Joseph Academy) and junior Sam Migalski (Manahawkin, N.J./Southern Regional) each shot 96 to lead BW on day two. Freshman Rebecca Kapusta (Independence) shot 106 and led the Yellow Jackets for the tournament with a total of 202 (96-106).

Also on day two, junior Nicole Carlone (Canton/St. Thomas Aquinas) shot 113,  freshman Sarah Terrill (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy) shot 122, and freshman Emily Eighmy (Erie, Pa./ Villa Maria Academy) shot 135.

BW is back in action on Saturday and Sunday, March 27-28, at the Mount Union College Spring Invitational at Tannenhauf Golf Club in Alliance.
