Baldwin Wallace Senior Greg Patrick Named OAC Field Athlete of the Week

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University All-American senior thrower Greg Patrick (Collins/ Western Reserve) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Field Athlete of the Week for his performance this past weekend. 

Patrick set a school-record in the shot put with a mark of 54 feet, 10 inches.  The previous school-record was set by Jim Tillotson in 1975 with a throw of 54'4.5". 

Patrick placed second overall in a field consisting heavily of Division I competitors and hit a high provisional qualifying mark for the NCAA Division III Championship meet that will be hosted by BW in late May. He earned All-American honors in the event last season.

Patrick and the rest of the Yellow Jackets are idle until the Ohio Athletic Conference Split Squad Meet on Saturday, April 3 at Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.

Alumni, media and fans also are reminded that BW will host the 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet from May 27-29 at The George Finnie Stadium in Berea. This is the fifth time that the College has hosted the NCAA Div.
