BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University senior Steve Price (North Olmsted) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference's Field Athletes of the Weekafter hitting NCAA Division III qualifying-mark this weekend.
The duo competed at the Liberty University Collegiate Invite on Friday and Saturday, April 2-3.
Price scored a career-high 6,718 points in the 10-even decathlon and posted an automatic qualifying mark for the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet that will be hosted by BW in late May. He placed 12th in the decathlon at last year's Championships.
The Yellow Jacket track and field team next compete on Saturday, April 10 when they travel to Delaware, Ohio to compete at the annual Marv Frye Meet at Ohio Wesleyan University. Field events begin at 11:00 a.m.
The 2010 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship Meet is May 27-29 at The George Finnie Stadium in Berea. This is the fifth time that the College has hosted the NCAA Div.
