BW Outdoor Track and Field Teams Begin Season at Unscored Coastal Carolina (S.C.) Invitational

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's outdoor track and field teams opened the 2009 season this weekend (Friday and Saturday, March 13-14, 2009) at the unscored Coastal Carolina University Invitational Meet in Conway, South Carolina.

For the men, junior Greg Patrick (Collins/Western Reserve) placed fifth in the shotput with a throw of 48 feet, 11 and half inches.  In the running events, senior Nate Bowen (Fremont/Ross) was fourth in the 1500-meter run in a time of 4:02.49.  Senior Alan Kidon (Chardon) was fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in 57.08 and junior Jimmy Eberts (North Canton/Hoover) was also fourth in the 3000-meter steeplechase in 9:59.43.

The Yellow Jacket men and women will next compete on Saturday, March 21 when they travel to Charlotte, North Carolina to compete at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte Invitational Meet at 11:00 a.m.
