BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's track and field teams each finished in second place at the annual Marv Frye Invitational hosted by Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware.
The BW men totaled 103.5 points and placed second out of 14 teams. BW produced two individual champions the day.
Sophomore thrower Kevin Phipps (Reynoldsburg/ Watkins Memorial) won the discus throw with a 154-foot, nine-inch heave. Junior thrower Greg Patrick (Collins/ Western Reserve) followed Phipps in second placed in the discus throw with a throw of 148 feet, four inches, was also second in the shot put with a throw of 48 feet, six inches and finished third with a 150-foot, six-inch toss in the hammer throw.
The Yellow Jacket men will next compete on Saturday, April 11 when they travel to back to Delaware, Ohio to compete at the annual All-Ohio Division III Championship Meet at Ohio Wesleyan University at 11:00 a.m.
