Baldwin Wallace University Men's Indoor Track Teams Compete at Division III All-Ohio Meet

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team placed fifth of 20 teams today (Saturday, February 14, 2009) at the 2009 All-Ohio Meet hosted by Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.

The Yellow Jacket men tallied 40 total points as Ohio Athletic Conference rival Ohio Northern University won the men's meet with 91 points.

Leading the way for the men was junior Greg Patrick (Collins/Western Reserve), who placed second in the weight throw and third in the shotput.  Patrick recorded a mark of 49 feet, one and three-quarter inches in the weight throw and a throw of 49' 2.25" for the shotput.  Also in the weight throw, junior Brett Scarl (North Olmsted) finished third with a throw of 48'11".  In additon, the men's distance medley relay team of freshman Tom Wilkin (Powell/Olentangy Liberty), senior Alan Kidon (Chardon), junior James Eberts (North Canton/Hoover) and senior Nate Bowen (Fremont/Ross) finished second with a time of 10:30.05.

The Yellow Jacket men's indoor track teams will be back in action this Friday, Feb. 20 when they host the Greater Cleveland College Championships on the Harrison Dilliard Track in the Lou Higgins Center.  The field events are scheduled to begin at 4:15 p.m. and the running events are scheduled to begin at 6:35 p.m..
