BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University junior Steve Price's (North Olmsted) fifth place finish topped the Yellow Jacket men tonight (Friday, February 20, 2009) at the annual Ohio Wesleyan University Pentathlon Meet inside the Branch Rickey Fieldhouse in Delaware, Ohio.
Price scored 715 points for an 8.49-second timing in the 55 hurdles, 709 points for a long jump of 21'6", 537 points for a shot put of 35' 7.75", 714 points for a high jump of 6'2.75" and 420 points for a 3:27.49 timing in the 1000-meter run.
Junior Kareem Ibrahim (North Olmsted) scored 551 points for a 9.24 timing in the 55 hurdles, 552 points for a 19'2" long jump, 407 points for a shot put of 28'5.75", 536 points for a high jump of 5'6.5" and 461 points for a 3:22.46 timing in the 1000.
Junior Matt Hill (Painesville/ Harvey) scored 445 points for a 9.78-second timing in the 55 hurdles, 392 points for a long jump of 16' 6.75", 402 points for a shot put of 28' 5.75", 512 points for a high jump of 5'5.25" and 419 points for a timing of 3:22.62 in the 1000.
The Yellow Jacket men are back in action on Saturday, Feb. 21 when select men will travel to the Kent State University Open Meet at 11:00 a.m. Next Friday, Feb. 27, BW will travel to Ada, Ohio to compete at Ohio Northern University.
