BW Men Fifth at OAC Relays

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University indoor track and field teams competed at the 2009 Ohio Athletic Conference Relay meet today (Saturday, January 31) in Westerville. The Yellow Jacket women placed fourth of 10 teams with 83 points and the men finished fifth with 85.

For the men, junior Greg Patrick (Collins/Western Reserve) finished second in the shot put with a toss of 14.81 meters. Senior Derek Hill (Fremont/Ross) was third in the 3,000m run with a time of 9:07.48 and juniorSteve Price (North Olmsted) was fifth in the long jump at 6.34m. The distance medley relay team placed second with a time of 10:32.00, the 4x800m relay team finished third in 8:11.03 and the 4x200m relay team finished fourth in 1:34.30.

The Yellow Jackets return to action next Friday, February 6 as hosts of the BW Indoor Meet. All of the action from the Harrison Dillard Track in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center begins at 5:00 p.m.
