Baldwin Wallace Men's Indoor Track and Field Team Open Season with Mid-January Meet

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track teams opened their seasons tonight (Friday, January 23, 2009) at the BW Mid-January Meet on the Harrison Dillard Track in the Lou Higgins Recreational Center fieldhouse.  The meet was unscored.

Overall, BW placed six different student-athletes in first place in seven events.

Highlighting the meet for the men was sophomore thrower Kevin Phipps (Reynoldsburg/ Watkins Memorial)who placed first in the weight throw with a distance of 52' 3.75".  Junior decathlete Steve Price (North Olmsted) was first overall in the long jump with a distance of 21'3.5".  Freshman jump specialist Joshua Miller (Willard) placed first in the high jump with a height of 6' 2.75".
