Baldwin Wallace Men's Indoor Track and Field Team Compete at the BW Mid-February

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's indoor track and field team competed  at the BW Mid-February Meet tonight (Friday, February 13, 2009) on the Harrison Dillard Track in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center Fieldhouse.  The meet was unscored.

After four meets, two scored and two unscored, the Yellow Jacket men are 12-5.

Individually for the men, freshman distance runner Mark Warman (Strongsville) placed first in the 500-meter run as he posted a time of 1:08.53. In the high jump, sophomore jumper  Zachary Poole (Mentor) took first place with a leap of five-feet, 9.75-inches. Sophomore sprinter Drew Matak (Salem/ Senior) won the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.73. In the shot put, junior Brett Scarl (North Olmsted) recorded a throw of 43-feet, 6.00-inches, good for second place.

The men will be back in action tomorrow, Saturday, February 14 when they travel to Westerville, Ohio to compete in the All-Ohio Meet hosted by Otterbein College at 10:00 a.m.
